INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE &  DO

During your stay at

DEEP WATER INN

Drive the Kings Byway which will take you through rural areas connecting dozens
of small hamlets with individual beautiful water vistas.

You might wish to include a visit  to the delightfully charming little fishing village of nearby Murray Harbour. Take a stroll through the peaceful Harbour. Call in at Miss Ellie's
gift store, or stop for a bite to eat at the very cheerful and welcoming Brehaut's restaurant.
The Log Cabin museum is also worth a visit.

Murray River is another lovely little village just a few minutes from us by car, there
you'll find a couple of gift stores, book store and an ice-cream parlor you might like to
treat yourselves to.

Murray River offers some of the nicest spots for trout and salmon fishing on the island.

Kings Castle Provincial Park is a family day park which offers free admission, and
includes nature trails, picnic areas, a unique playground, BBQ shelters, and beach access.

If Golf is your game there's Eagle's View 9 Hole Golf Course

There's Mom's diner if you're hungry and,  if you're looking for a little more adventure
take a Seal Boat Tour, or even book a sea plane ride and enjoy the magic of this
beautiful island from the air.

If you are interested in lighthouses and beaches take a drive to our local
             Cape Bear Lighthouse
This lighthouse is the first on land to hear the SOS call from the fated ocean liner
             'Titanic'.
Surrounding the lighthouse are red sandstone cliffs and beautiful secluded beaches.

Visit Wood Islands Lighthouse discover the legend of Phantom Ship, and maybe take
a trip on the Ferry across Northumberland Strait to mainland Nova Scotia .

Or sample some wine at Rossignol Estate Winery at Little Sands overlooking
             the Northumberland Strait.
Again, in many spots along the Kings Byway you will find secluded beaches
where you can kick off your shoes and paddle in the warm waters.
